Chocolate & Hazelnut Milkshake

  • 250 ml Milk ((ideally whole))
  • 1.5 tbsp Cacao Powder ((or cocoa powder) )
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds ((hulled) )
  • 2 tbsp Hazelnut Butter
  • 0.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 150 g Yoghurt ((Greek – natural) )
  1. Put all the ingredients into a blender and whizz until fully blended and smooth. This will take around a minute and give it a second blitz if you want the consistency super smooth.

  2. Taste the milkshake and add a bit more maple syrup, if you have a sweet tooth.

  3. Divide between glasses and serve straight away in a glass with or without a straw. If they love sprinkles, then pop some extra hulled hemp seeds on the top.

For a more grown-up twist, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or even espresso for a subtle flavour boost. You could also add a scoop of protein powder if you are trying to increase your protein intake.

  • Dairy-free or vegan – switch from cow’s milk to your plant-based milk of choice and almond or coconut yoghurt (these are not vital, so you can just add in more milk).
  • Nut-free – switch the hazelnut butter to tahini (sesame paste)

This chocolate milk can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days in a container. Please give it a good shake before serving.

You can also freeze the milkshake and turn the mixture into milky ice lollies.
